Antonio Valla is appointed as Local Representative in California for AmCham Italy

November 30, 2020 – The Board of Directors of the American Chamber of Commerce in Italy (an affiliate of the US Chamber of Commerce) is pleased to announce the appointment of Antonio Valla as Local Representative of AmCham in California through 2022. AmCham Italy has as its objective the development and support of business and cultural exchanges between the US and Italy. It pursues its objective, in part, through its broad network of Local Representatives in key US states. That network guarantees a direct connection between the Italian business community and US opportunities for it, including updates on changing economic and legislative environments, all of which are very important for Italian companies doing business, or wishing to do business, in the US.

“I’m honored by this appointment and grateful for the trust placed in me by AmCham, which I have been working with since 1993. California is the world’s sixth-largest economy by GDP, is a strategic market for Italian companies, just as Italy is for US companies, and I look forward to helping in strengthening the “bridge” between the two markets, and together building a better future.” Mr. Valla stated.

Born in Milan, Italy, Mr. Valla holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of San Francisco (1986) as well as a Juris Doctor (1988) from the same school. He is an attorney and member of the Bar of the State of California (1988), District of Columbia (2017), and New York (2020). In 2009, he founded Valla & Associates, Inc., PC (www.vallalaw.com), and throughout his career he focused on commercial litigation, and commercial and complex corporate transactions, with a particular passion for his international clientele. He serves in a fiduciary capacity for a number of companies. Among others, he is a Director of ASG Superconductors USA, Inc. (magnets and medical devices), Bindi North America, Inc. (food), Volunteers for InterAmerican Development Assistance (VIDA – a non-profit), The Star Fund LLC (a hedge fund), and the Accademia della Cucina Italiana di San Francisco (Treasurer). Further, for the past ten years he has been a member of the Associazione Internazionale Giuristi di Lingua Italiana
